COMMON project in the BLUEMED “Towards a Healthy plastic-free Mediterranean Sea” event
COMMON project participates at the Italian HUB for the BLUEMED initiative Pilot “Towards a Healthy plastic-free Mediterranean Sea” a web meeting organized by the BLUEMED GSOs and CSA and hosted by CLUSTER BIG.
The event takes place on October 9, 2020 with the main objectives of mapping most relevant national marine litter mitigation and prevention actions and initiatives with clear technological, business, policy, educational or social impacts dealing with monitoring and assessment, preventing, recycling and circular thinking.
The web streaming will be recorded and the material presented made available on the SEMED platform, where information on the other hubs of the other BLUEMED initiative
The BlueMed Pilot action, launched in 2018, consists in mapping and assessing the actions on place regarding marine plastic pollution in the EU and non EU countries of the Mediterranean area to promote the circulation of good practices, R&I actions but also demonstration, communication and educations actions specifically addressed to face the challenges posed by marine litter in the Mediterranean Sea as a whole.
