Tunisia: fishermen of port of Mahdia to support study on sea plastic pollution

A team from “Institut National des Sciences et Technologies de la Mer” (INSTM),partner of the COMMON project, in collaboration with a team from “Centre national de veille zoosanitaire”, associated partner of the project, visited the port of Mahdia, Tunisia to meet with the local fishermen community and share a questionnaire related to the pollution of the sea by plastic waste.

A first meeting with the fishermen of Mahdia was successfully carried out to discuss their contribution to the diagnosis of the level and type of sea pollution. During its visit, The team of the COMMON project was supported by Ms. Hajer Ben Dhiab (head of fishing district) and Mr. Walid Zroud (regional veterinary inspector, CRDA Mahdia).
